I did a few updates last year, but have been way to busy to keep up for most of the year. Basically the year has gone like this: BC dominant early, but starting to slip in the last month with only a 2 point lead BU good throughout the year, should be a favorite to win the conference title. Maine making a BIG push (9-1-1 in last 11) after a bad start due to poor goaltending and a couple of suspensions of players from a fight at a party. Vermont joining hockey east, getting off to a great start, somehow getting up to #6 in the national rankings, but has faded and is barely ranked now. New Hampshire hanging around, but nothing special Providence starting hot but fading. UMass, UMass Lowel, Northeastern, Merrimack just being bad. The reason I'm writing this is that this is the last weekend of the regular season with BC up by 2 points over Maine/BU, any of the teams could finish as high as first or as low as 5th (BC could get to 3rd). The race wasn't close a couple weeks ago, but it has gotten great. Also the playoffs and NCAA tourney are coming up. College hockey is one thing I miss living out here in SoCal. I'm a Maine supporter, so I'm glad to hear they're doing well. And it seems as though Hockey East has the same cast of characters (except UNH) competing for the title. How's the ECAC shaping up? Who's likely to go to the NCAA's?

Oh yeah! The Black Bears are going to the Frozen Four again. Should be a good matchup with Wisconsin. Meanwhile on the other side of the draw, BC avenges its loss to BU in the Hockey East championship by whacking them in the Northeast Regional. An all-Hockey East final anyone?

Both should be great games, Wisconsin has a Hobey Baker finalist goalie, so if Maine can get to him even a little, I think they will win. If Maine's inconsistant at first, but now good goalie has a decent game, Maine wins. Sucks that the game is in Milwaukee, every year Hockey East has to play tourney games at in home states of the other teams. Couple of years ago it was Maine losing to Minnesota in Minnesota in the championship game. My prediction Maine 3-2 in overtime. As far as the BC/ND game, if BC plays up to potential they should beat ND. The way BC demolished BU was suprising.
