    New Steroid And Amphetemines Policy

So what's everybody's take on the new policy. IMHO, it seems much more fair and I'm happy with the stricter approach that Selig has taken towards it. The addition of amphetemines is a huge addition, one that really didn't get too much publicity...at least so far.

I wonder how this is going to play out when someone IS caught, and they argue that they haven't used in a long time and that what was detected was something residual, from previous use years ago. The new rules go into effect in January I beleive. I wonder if any players are going to volunteer any steroid history in order to pay the small penalty now instead of the stiff ones ahead. I've given in to the fact that every team has/had users, I just hope we don't end up having the 1st player to go down to the new penalties... I just don't want to have cheered for this person and then have his mistake disrupt the team in this HUGE a manner. The 1st player to get caught under these rules is obvioulsy going to get more scrutiny than anyone who comes next. Should be interesting. PS: Any chance we can get the scoreboard changed from that loss against Cleveland (in mid season)? I'd do it, but I never familiarized myself with the new controls when we switched over here.

Better? If you'd like to change it: http://www.redsox2000.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=14
