In keeping with past tradition I would like to put forward the first trade for the Sox. In taking a different tack than previous years, I would like to limit the category to trades that matter. Basically starters or heavily relied upon bench players. So.... Coco Crisp back to Cleveland for Kelley Shoppach

I much rather get something will provide some value. Coco is a great defensive outfielder... it's just that everyone in the league knows that the red sox are looking to deal him. So if we can get 50 cents to the dollar on him i would be happy. I would like to be able to get a middle reliever that could potentially contribute this season and that would be in the last year or two of their deal. If they can get anything in addition to that i would call that a win. Coco is already pouting, so hopefully he's gone before the trip to Japan.
